Welcome to Tartan Lodge! Glasgow's Friendly Hostel! It’s true to say that there is nowhere else in Glasgow quite like the Tartan Lodge. Old world charm and contemporary elegance are interwoven in our hostel set within a former 19th century church and Masonic Lodge on Alexandra Parade, Glasgow. Tartan Lodge provides affordable accommodation for budget and business travellers in mind, comprising of a selection of double bedrooms and twin rooms all with ensuite bathrooms and LCD TVs. Additionally, our boutique hotel has shared dormitories for budget travellers and backpackers, with a choice of eight, six, five, four and three bed dormitories from mixed to female only dormitories offering bespoke bunk bed design which offer a double plug socket, shelve and underneath storage for each bunk. All dormitories include ensuite and facilities for families as well.

Late Check-out Hour: 1:00 PM
Late Check-out Fees: £5.00
Late check-out (after 11:00 AM and before 1:00 PM) may result in a fee.
Property and Cancellation Policies :
Should you, for any reason, wish to cancel your booking, please advise us as soon as possible, and no later than 14 days prior to the day of arrival. Should your cancellation be within the 14 days, a charge equal to the full amount of the booking shall be charged to the provided credit card by Tartan Lodge. Should we be advised prior to the 14 day cut off period, only the first nights stay shall be retained by Tartan Lodge. This fee shall be retained to cover administration costs.
Should any, or all, guests not arrive on the booked date of arrival or a booking reduction (after arrival), Tartan Lodge will charge for the full amount of the booking and no refund shall be given.
Any bookings made for Friday and/or Saturday are non-refundable and this overrides the 14 day cancellation policy.
Terms and Conditions
Any all male or all female groups are required to inform us prior to making a reservation. We reserve the right to refuse any groups either at the time of enquiry, pre-reservation, after the reservation has been made or even upon arrival. By accepting these Terms and Conditions you are assuring us that you are a) Not a single-sex group or b) You have received an email from our reservation team permitting your single-sex group reservation.
A debit / credit card is required to confirm all reservations and a valid card must be supplied at check- in for all arrivals. We accept all major credit cards. If declined, booking will be cancelled.A deposit equal to the full booking is required prior to arrival and this can paid via cash or debit / credit card. Tartan Lodge reserves the right to cancel any bookings, at any time and without reason or recourse.
In the case of group bookings (up to 6 persons), all outstanding fees for accommodation must be paid at check-in on arrival date of the booking. In the case of a group booking (over 6 persons), all outstanding fees must be paid, and cleared, not less than 28 days prior to arrival date.
The deposit paid either via the Tartan Lodge booking engine, one of our affiliate web sites, telephone and credit card or direct deposit is non-refundable.
Check-in time is on, or anytime after, 2 p.m. up to 10 p.m. on the date of arrival and check-out time is on, or before, 11.00 a.m. on the date of departure. Early check in and late check in / out are available for purchase on a per person basis. Ask at reception for details.
All guests will be required to provide appropriate photo identification at check-in and to complete and sign a form that also states that he/she has read, understands and will abide by these Terms and Conditions.
Tartan Lodge retains the right, at the Duty Manager's discretion, to charge a Room Security deposit of up to £250.00 for any group booking (over 6 persons) made under these terms and conditions.
The Duty Manager may, at his/her discretion, carry out a room inspection of all rooms to determine that no malicious or accidental damage has occurred. Should any damage be found, the guest or group shall be charged accordingly, and the guest or group booking may be terminated at the Duty Manager's discretion with no refund of monies paid.
Should any guest or group be found to have non-paying persons staying in their room(s), the guest or group shall be charged for the extra persons and the on-going booking may be, at the Duty Manager's discretion, terminated with no refund of monies paid. Should a guest or group become unruly in any manner resulting in complaints or, at the Duty Manager's discretion, disturbing other guests, Tartan Lodge retains the right to terminate the agreement resulting in eviction with no refund of monies paid.
Should any guest booked into our dorms change the bed number from the one designated to them at check in then we may at our discretion charge a fee of £10 for changing the bedding for any new bed.
All areas within Tartan Lodge are designated No Smoking and No Pets Allowed. We operate a strict no smoking policy. Smoking, in any area of the hotel, is a serious offence and will be treated as such, possibly resulting in the eviction of anyone breaking this regulation. If a guest smokes in their room a charge of £100 per room will be made to their credit/debit card in order to fumigate the room(s).
Illegal substances of any kind will not be tolerated and will result in the eviction, and possible prosecution, of the offending party.
Tartan Lodge retains the right to refuse entry to the building of any persons that are clearly under the influence of illegal drugs or excessive alcohol.
